A handy base to explore Shimonoseki from

The hotel location suited us well. It is handy to the Shimonoseki Rail Station, a mall and a restaurant district. The staff are courteous and helpful The rooms are kept clean by the hardworking housekeeping crew. The coin operated laundry was a big plus. Water pressure in the shower is great.

More an observation than a dislike. The rooms are small by Western standards so we had to synchronise suitcase unloading. There is a big step down from the bathroom which could catch the unwary late night bathroom user out.

Great place to explore Shimonoseki

Great location just a couple of minutes from the station. Small room but ok for 1 person. Nice and welcoming staff. Clean. Comfortable bed. Quiet. You can walk to Karato market from the hotel, it takes about 30 minutes.

Convenient location

The hotel was close to the train station and there is a shopping mall really close by as well. . There is a good ramen restaurant attached to the hotel that is quite nice. The staff were really helpful.

The room is quite small and you can’t store your luggage under the bed, so it makes it quite tight

It's a good deal at this price, but I hope the equipment can be better

Although the counter staff can't speak English, they tried their best to let me understand their regulations and the location of facilities, etc. The service attitude is very good

The toilet is a bit narrow, and the water is easy to splash out when taking a shower, and shampoo, etc. can only be placed on the sink, which is inconvenient to take when taking a shower. Also, the pillow was not very comfortable and couldn't support my head

Serviceable accommodation in convenient location

Great location within walking distance of the international port terminal and the train station. Lovely staff. The room was small but comfortable and quiet.

There was a slight odour of feet in the room.

Wonderful

The overall focus on keeping it clean & functional. Enjoyed their concept of breakfast. They present you a tray of delicious local Japanese cuisine. Always rotating the selection so you don't get the same meal everyday.

I'd be knit picking. Nothing stood out as a concern.

Wonderful

The little things that I always forget on my long trips were great. The breakfast was in the restaurant next door and had a variety of Japanese dishes I wasn't expecting. Squid sashimi, some soba noodles, monkfish in the miso soup. There's a big bath in the basement as well. The room was comfortable.

There's no way to walk into the hotel without going up some stairs (I had injured my back). The Shimonoseki station area in general has a lot of stairs.

Good, will stay there again.

The place is clean and the bed is comfortable. Breakfast is Japanese-style and quite filling. Overall, I had a good stay. However, the washing machine was always occupied during my time there, which was a bit inconvenient.

Very Good

The hotel is right next to a large shopping center, the train station and multiple car rental locations. It is very convenient for a short stay. Staff is friendly and very helpful.

The facility is a bit old and actually the bathroom in my room has some foul smell. However, my friends staying in other rooms did not experience the smell so it may be just my room.

Public baths, proximity to port, train station, shopping mall and plenty of options to eat. Inside smoking room available. Really good value hotel and staff were always lovely and welcoming.

Room could have been cleaner, strange white fluff along carpet near walls.
